My primary appointment is in the chemistry department at the University of Memphis, I am also a faculty member in the bioinformatics program and in the biomedical engineering department at the University Memphis. The main focus of our research is the use of computational methods to address a variety of topics where macromolecules play important roles. Some of our current research interests include gene delivery, microfluidic separations of macromolecules, molecular recognition etc. Our research projects always involve strong collaboration with experimental groups. Visit the research page to learn more about our research interests. If you are interested in pursuing graduate studies in our lab, you can apply to graduate programs offered through chemistry, bioinformatics or biomedical engineering departments. Students are also strongly encouraged to consider doing both computational work in our lab and experimental work in our collaborators labs.

We are always seeking motivated undergraduates, graduates and postdocs to join our research group. Our research is highly interdisciplinary. Students major in chemistry, biology, physics, biomedical engineering and bioinformatics would all work well.
