NSF-REU: Collaborative Chemistry Research at the University of Memphis

The National Science Foundation will fund ($273,390) a third research experience for undergraduates program in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Memphis. This program will bring eight undergraduate chemistry majors to the University of Memphis for an intensive ten-week summer research program during each of the next three summers (2009-2011). Each student will perform research under the direction of a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry, and will have funding to present the results of their research at a regional or national meeting during the year following their participation in the program. Abby Parrill, Atkins Professor, and Charles Edwin Webster, Assistant Professor, co-direct the program.
